Members guitardustin
Aight so I've pretty much never used an actual board or nice power supply because I'm lazy/minimalist...blah whatever you want to call it. So I was jamming with a couple guys today and one guy kept telling me I'm going to mess my pedals up using the crappy power supply I use. I basically use some type of old ass DC supply that puts of 200 mA and a daisy chain kinda like the one spot delay. Now I get the rough concept of power consumption and I know how much the pedlawls I use require. I was only playing through these guys for the jam sesh so I should be fine right? Analogman Ardx20 Delay ~ 15mAAnalogman Kot ~ 6-10mAAnalogman Amazeo controller thing ~ 30mA Am I crazy here? As long as I'm nowhere near the 200 mA that supply puts out I'm not really risking anything right? Hugs, Dust-bunny
Members CodeMonk
As long as the power supply mA rating is higher that what all the pedals are drawing, you are good.Although I try to keep the total mA draw of all the pedals around 75% of what the power supply can provided. The problem with the standard low budget power supplies. is they can be noisy. And make sure the polarity and the voltage match.

Members guitardustin
Cool cool I thought so. I guess I could invest in a decent supply at some point...just seems dumb when I don't use 2-3 pedals
Members stevics
If it's a cheapo power supply, maybe worth a voltage check , I have heard some cheapo's are inaccurate. As for the mA the above posts have nailed it.

Members stevics
If it;s a boss power supply it should be fine.I was thinking more about cheapo no name types. Checked the voltage on my Godlike Powerall the other week, It was 9.29v which is OK
