Members hecticone Posted April 14, 2012 Members Share Posted April 14, 2012 Owned one for quite a while. They are hollow just with no f holes. The stock pups are more than adequate. I did replace mine with some Fralins and all new electronics. My buddie had a Gibson Lucille and we both thought the fit and finish was stellar on the Epi and the tone was just as nice or better than the Gibson. So for a lot less monies than a Gibson you will have a real nice guitar. Plus it does all genres really well. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But as I recall for whatever reason, and I've heard it mentioned elsewhere, these guitars are pretty heavy. Maybe it varied by year or location of build.
