Members jomaco
Hi My Boss TU-2 has stopped working. It still lights up when I press the footswitch but doesn't pick anything up; the red light just flashes a bit. Has anyone experienced similar problems? Could it just be an issue with the jacks? Hope you can help Cheers

Members jomaco
Haha, pretty sure a TU1000 is overkill. Anybody have any ideas which involve fixing it?

Members PRSJim
Exact same thing happened to me, but it would go away periodically. I think it was a problem with power, went to battery and it worked for a while, then it went away again. Time for a TU-3 or a Polytune for me. Members turnitto11
Does it still pass signal? And is it still under warranty? Boss has a 5 year warranty and should have no problem getting a working one in your hands as long as you were the original owner
Members Texas Noise Factory
Have you tried openning it up and triggering the switch inside with your finger? Maybe it's mechanically related.
Members Amigo
yeah best bet is just to get a new one, they're super cheap these days
Members jomaco
Pulling the circuit board out allows the tuner to work but when putting it back in again it stops working so perhaps it is a lead? I'm not sure where to go from here - it seems like it should be a simple solution as it is working in a sense but I can't really leave it with the circuit board hanging out - there are no suspect solder joints that I can see. There must be something I can try before buying a new one.
Members mhuxtable
Holy crap dude go on guitar centers used site or your local CL and buy a new (used) tuner....they're dirt cheap and your guitar will be in tune without a circuit board laying around
