Members Karma1
I recently bought an M3M, so I don't have the joystick, ribbon control, and two switches that are on the keyboard version. I'm controlling it with a Roland V-Synth which has the Time Trip Pad and D-Beam controllers that do modulate the sounds on the M3M in various ways. But the pitchbend lever only goes left/right and up - not down. I want to be able to have full control of Karma parameters on the X/Y axis like the joystick on the Karma keyboard or M3 keyboard have. The built-in X-Y mode on the M3M's touchscreen doesn't seem to give the full control capability that a joystick has. Or am I wrong about that? Does the X-Y mode on the touchscreen do the same thing as a joystick? If not, can I plug in an external joystick like the kind gamers use?
Members flat earth
In hindsight, it sounds as if you may have been better off doing it the other way round, with an M3 Keyboard and V-Synth XT.
Members Dejavoodoo
I've never really used my stick o' joy on any of my boards, except for the rare pitch bend. The X-Y on the M3M should give you plenty of control, but I don't know if it's the same as the joystick. Sliders are another story - similar to the knobbage on the Karma. Members Numina
karma1 - have you considered controlling the M3 with the KARMA? the KARMA has the 4-way joystick. I realize you prefer to use the V-Synth but may be good idea to use the KARMA in this case...? - J.
