Members BOOGIE666
you want Justice for all???? Sell that triaxis pos and get a mark III! Sorry I like the triaxis for leads and cleans, but for heavy sounds it is a very poor IMITATION of the real mark series amps it is based off of. Members SteveVHT
Sounds good, but not close to the AJFA sound. A Mark 3 or 4 will get you there much better as will a 22 Caliber. High gain and scooped.... Steve

Well, even if I can't nail a particular tone, the vast variety of tones available at my footswitch far out weighs the lack of an exclusive tone. The TriAxis/Simul 2:90 is probably still the best, and most versatile all tube pre/power combo on the planet. I'm not really an amp guy. I like the variety, and programability. But cool. I'm glad you're so passionate about your tones.Mick
Members JKD
I'd stick an SD-1 in front of it for a bit more gain/crunch and scoop a little more mids on the amp (that will make the bass stand out more too) but really a pretty good tone. m/
Members leadfootdriver
Well, the honeymoon is over. I'm back on all 6L6's. The big bass chunk rules over the mid spread. As you were.
Members Metal|Boy
some nice tone you got there leadfootdrive! What about some more clips? Something like frayed ends of sanity or harvester of sorrow?
Members Sick Michael
I have to say, that sounded a teeny little bit digital. Heres my Quad preamp doing Harvester of Sorrow Is this closer?
Members leadfootdriver
Sounds pretty beefy. Did you use a stomp box, or is that all Quad gain? Did you have any EL34's in your power section? I supose I like 6L6's best, and I can get a more scooped sound compared to what I posted! But that did sound nice.
