Members Dale B.
The VH4S has 2 smaller OT's and the VH4 mono has one bigger OT. There is a tonal difference between the two different versions, but it isn't anything huge. A lot of the guys say the Stereo head is just a little bit more "sweeter" sounding and the Mono version is a touch more on the aggressive side. They're not going to sound exactly the same due to the different Output Transformer (OT) sizes. Dale

Members rockstrongo
My VH4S was softer sounding than the VH4. It was harder to get an aggressive metal sound out of it, but for hard rock leads it was great. Smooth as a baby's ass.
