Members The Real MC
Ever played an ARP Pro Soloist, Pro DGX, or Explorer? Don't underestimate the value of tone. Yes, one osc can be limiting. But depending on the synth and the music being made, the right single osc machine can be just the right ingredient. You won't get any argument from me... trumpets, saxes, vocals are "one oscillator" sources but the tone makes up for it. ProSoloist/ProDGX are one of the few single VCO monosynths done right. I'm quite content with my single Osc Roland synths for the time being. And also happy with my Matrix 1000 (Dual Osc). Sure would like a Moog someday, though..... I really have nothing to contribute to the original question.
