Members BAZGUITARMAN
Well, not owner yet, but I did just make a deal to trade my JSX for a mint Single Recto. I`ve always wanted a Single Recto as I think they are the best sounding of all the Recto models. This will also make my first 50 watt amp head. I`ve always had 120 watt heads. The difference doesn`t really matter to me as I only play at home and don`t have to worry about any arena sized shows any time soon. Does anyone have any tips, tricks or advice for a new Single Rect. owner? Any war stories? Good, bad and ugly of the Single Rect. is also welcome. Members tele_jas
http://www.grailtone.com/forum/index.php Thats a good Boogie only forum if you don't find your answers here. The EQ is a bit different than on the JSX, Dont be afraid of the Trebble knob, it allows more signal in to the rest of the EQ chain. I like Vintage on ch 2 on the following settings (had a Rectoverb):Gain 2:00 - 3:00Treb: 12:30Mids: 11:00Bass: 10:00 - 11:00 (9:00 live, my soundman hates lows)Pres: 11:00 Rectos are fun amps!! ENJOY!!!!!!!!

Members Locky
I've found that the follow setttings, give me a great aggresive voicing for chords and a Mark-like lead sound. MODE: Modern Gain: 1:30-2Treble: 11:30Mids: 12-1Bass: 1:30-2:30Presence: 9:30Volume:9:30Output:9:30 But my tone also depends on using my EMG85, and my custom treble cut cable. Members HottKarl
EQ to taste....I prefer bass down around 10-ish because Recto's thump so hard as it is. I crank the mids, keep the treble in check....and crank that mofo. The one thing I'd recommend is keeping the presence down. I run mine nearly off. I find that once you get your EQ set and start turning the presence up, it just gets muddy.

Members gafyagaton
If you play leads and shredding styles..... buy one guitar and arm it with a dimarzio fred. fred+rectifier = dreamland lead tone. The neighbors will pound on your door screaming "the music is too beautiful!!"I'm not kidding. LIsten to Satriani:Rubina's Blue Sky HappinessNew blues Unique tone that can only be had with a rectifier and a fred.
