Members HurleyGuitarist9
So i just brought home my XXX. I'm way excited about it. I love the sound. Sure the clean is kind of sterile, but the gain sounds are awesome for what I play, which is hardcore/metal. I also have a Behringer V-AMP Pro rackmount that I jam on, but I wanted to put it through the XXX head so I could use its pre-amp. How do I do this? How do I plug it in? I'm new to rack stuff, so any input would be great! Thanks!
Members NeloAngelo
run it in the fx loop. guitar to rack to fx return, that bypasses the preamp section of the amp. or you can run the guitar to the amps input and run the fx send to the rack input and rack output to fx return. experiment. Members Ocho
I was running the Vamp through an effects loop of my other guitarists 5150 and it sounded amazing. I used the Modern Hi Gain amp sim (which ironically is based on the Soldano which is the inspiration for the 5150) and it was brutal as hell. I also like the Rectified Hi Gain and Savage Beast (since I cant really afford the real things....)
