These are really nice songs. There's actually singing:)

The JSX has a modern...but not too modern type tone...seems to fit the bill really well. It sounds pretty big on the third song.

Nice work here:)

What did you use for the violins on the last one.....that sounds *really* nice.

when i originally demo'ed the song i used a keyboard for all the orchestra stuff, most of that is still there, but we layered a real cello, real violins, real piano, and a real timpani. you can really tell some of the orchestral instruments are done on a synth, (such as the trumpets :D), but eventually ill perform that song with a real orchestra :D

thanks for the kind words. only prob with the jsx is the clean is almost TOO clean, i had to use the blue angel on some other songs for cleans

Well, so much for me trying to replicate that at home - lol!

I've only got 2 of those mics, and 2 channels to record with - lol...5 channels of guitar per "track" - how many tracks were there?

I like how clear it sounds...

each rhythm track is double tracked and panned hard left and right, sometimes a 3rd and 4th will come in and be centered.

leads: mics panned to be circular

most of the sound is the 57, 421, and the adk

the 421 is an AWESOME mic, it always helped the sound cut through the mix, its super bright and scooped on its own, but in a mix it rules:cool:
