Members Peekaboo Fuzzy
I think the Tetra has it as well. Just wondering, as that patch would be lovely for soundtrack/theatrical stuff out of the box or as a good starting point to work with, however maybe it wasn't programmed into it as the Mopho is only 1 voice? Members Pr3Va1L
I believe most of the MoPho's presets are from the '
Members Peekaboo Fuzzy
Thanks, but I'm still wondering about that particular preset. When heard it on the Dave Smith site, I really thought it was awseome and so useful for what I do. I'm just thinking one voice may not be condusive for that "larger-than-life" sound, so perhaps it wasn't included?
Members CfNorENa
Yep, it's on there (one of the first presets in Bank A, if I recall correctly). But it *does* lose something when played monophonically...
Members Peekaboo Fuzzy
Thanks for letting me know CfNorENa. Based on your observation I am wondering if I should wait to buy a Tetra when they pop up on the used market for under $799.
Members Purity_Control
if you're lucky, it'll have the Purity Control preset too:wave:
Members Peekaboo Fuzzy
Even with a Purity Control preset no one could sound like Purity Control, unless ofcourse it's Purity Control!
Members Pr3Va1L
Bah if it's for recording you can always multitrack it.. In the old days people used to do it with modulars so...
Members Peekaboo Fuzzy
Your right, however my main use would be to be able to get that sound live.
Members Pr3Va1L
Not much of a use, then.. Unless you buy 8 mophos
Members Peekaboo Fuzzy
Or one Tetra. 4 voices should be plenty enough to fatten up that preset which is programmed in the Tetra as well.

The mopho can only reproduce on sound, what makes this patch sound different, not only in the way that you can play it only monophon.
Members DocT
The original Wagnerian patch is a layer sound. When I programmed it, it wasn't, and I think that it still is a normal 8 voice sound http://www.trippler.net/files/p8/csoon320.avi

I just got a Tetra for $651. with 2-day shipping, during their 20% off one item Labor Day sale. Yes, I realize it's MF, but I couldn't pass that deal up. Members Peekaboo Fuzzy
That is a great deal. Enjoy the Tetra. Tell us how the "Wagnerian" preset sounds with four voices! Doc T, I noticed you are from Germany. Are you a Wagner fan? From what have read-especially through his own letters-he was extremely contradictory, hypersensitive and always on the run (not just escaping creditors, but also ompromising positions and political imbroglios)

Members DocT
Doc T, I noticed you are from Germany. Are you a Wagner fan? I suppose that I know about Wagner and his works only what everybody knows. Naming sounds is one of the most difficult tasks for me, so I'm glad about every kind of associaion that comes to mind

Members DocT
I just received my serial Tetr4. "Wagnerian" is definitely there If ir weren't it would be a problem to load it anyway, because P'08, Mopho and Tetra are compatible soundwise. Members ElectricPuppy
Do you recall if Wagnerian uses a feature of the P'08 that isn't available in the Evolver, Doc?
Members DocT
Yes, it uses the different sound character of the P'08s analog components and a little analog feedback that the Evolvers don't have
Members gdh
Hey Doc, I have to say after all this time I still love the work on the presets you did and I took your advice about toning down a bit the a.t. on your Wagnerian preset. Beautiful my friend just fantastic!!!! I'd like to hear you do a short recording of 1) just the P08 and then 2) the P08 with the Tetra using your Wagnerian patch if possible.
