Members 88mm
Suggestions here... I am needing a speaker upgrade. I have an old 12" celestion lead 70 now and it is not cutting it. I am using a Fender 75 combo. open back. I am not looking for the spanky clean Fender and not for scooped sounds either. Something some what warm and sounds nice overdriven. Help me out. Members Weatherbox
G12H30. LOVE this speaker. Not the Vintage 30, it's the Heritage line version (V30s I'm not fond of.) I use these with Marshall, Hiwatt/Sound City, Vox, and Dr Z amps and it's great with them all. Sold my Lead 70 loaded 4x12 the day I got them. Members Yamaha_Doug
My "new" Fender Musicmaster Bass came with what the seller called an "Eminence 50-watt 12-inch" in place of the original. I guess (from reading the HC reviews) the stock speakers in those weren't great, so almost anything would be an improvement, but the MM doesn't sound to me like a 12-watt amp. Members 88mm
Thanks guys. I am worried about the wattage rating. The Fender 75 is a 75 watt amp with a low power switch to bring it to 25 watts. I like to crank it up or dime it in 25 watt mode. Should I sear more toward 50+ watt speakers? Members Cougar Hunter
Weber Michigan Fattened up my YCV-40 like you wouldn't believe. Handles 100 watts. Lots of bass, not a lot of treble.

I'd go for "the whole enchilada," just in case it suddenly somehow started putting out the full 75.I was thinking I read something recently about allowing a little more to possibly prevent damage to the speaker, but now I can't find the reference. If I get more info, I'll add it, or maybe one of the other guys has a better answer.
