Members the figurehead Posted March 15, 2006 Members Share Posted March 15, 2006 Whats the scoop on these? One of the local shops has got one at a good price... is it worth checking out? Anyone using one? I havent had a chance to play it yet, but I may check it out. I cant really turn it up as I would like to however. Beyond that, I've checked out the HC reviews, and they are mostly positive, but they do leave me a bit confused. The amp has a 3/4 back, and the tubes are not readily visible. I pulled the owners manual out of the back, and it lists the amp as having 2 x el34s... all of the reviews I read list the amp as having 2 x 6l6's. Did the amp come in two versions? I know there's a difference between the original ones and the reissues. The originals had 6l6's and the reissues had EL34's, at least that's what I was told.
