  1. Akai G-Drive Very rare. Purchased from HCFX member hangwire a couple months ago. It is an incredible pedal, with a huge range of sounds. Can be set for boost, drive, distortion, fuzz. The bottom row of sliders controls the input signal, then signal hits the drive circuit, then top row controls the overall output voicing. I searched for one of these for a long time, and now I realize its a lot more than I need. The only issues are that it's missing one slider tip (top right) and has velcro on the back. Otherwise, it's extremely clean, and works flawlessly. Comes with original box and all original paperwork. $125 shipped Protone Boom Box Parametric EQ/Booster, with mid-shift (the red knob). Discontinued, pretty rare. $75 shipped Shipping prices for CONUS, international shipping considered for extra. Feel free to make trade offers for weird boost/drive/fuzzes, but mostly looking for cash. Make an offer, I'm motivated to sell.

  3. I don't hang out here much, but Phil suggested I post this here and I might get some hits. Rode mic in sig, comes with weird flimsy shockmount. Used by me 3 or 4 times, never without a pop filter (so no spit in it). Willing to trade for a decent PCI soundcard for basic home recording.
  4. There are a few different models. I played a "Blue" for a little while in a local shop that was there on consignment. Its a 3 channel amp with clean, crunch, and lead. Clean was on the Voxy side rather than fender and pretty damn good, crunch was fun and sounded good although a little mushy, lead was a cool Brian May/70's rock sizzly lead. Not enough body for metal (which I don't play anyway). I imagine it would cut pretty well in a band setting, but I wouldn't have used it for a rythm sound as it was very sizzly and a lil' thin. Overall a nice variety of vintagey tones, with a little of its own voice. Price tag on it was $550 USD for the head (used), and I came really, really close to picking it up but I ended up getting a great deal on an Orange AD30TC and cab so I passed up on it. I'm pretty sure tlbonehead has a Blue Beetle or Mighty Mouse and he may chime in here and give some more input.

If it was a nerdy old dude you could probably work something out. I like what the other poster said about the PW Herman and the payphone thing. Throw in some jihad and you're good to go. How's your band doing anyway? I was going to look you up in November when I was down there but got too busy with my condo repairs. I did get over to Churchills and had a blast. Yeah, she's the one. Band's doing great, we're actually playing a "showcase" type gig for an industry heavy hitter (grammy winnning producer who's starting his own label) this saturday. Its kind of hush, though, as he doesn't want anybody to know he's there. We played a gig in South Beach last month, and Pharrell Williams was there. He came up to me afterwards and said that it was "pretty cool" and that my girlfriend/our singer had a "hot ass".
  6. Originally posted by SkidMarx call the FCC. If he is coming in on all those devices he is likely stealing bandwidth. There are strict regulations on what you can/cannot use in residential neighborhoods, for this very reason. He could be using commercial equiptment not authorized for residential use. read further down...
  7. Originally posted by -=MYK=- Just call the FCC. If he does a thing call the cops. Never let assholes walk all over you. Like i said if it was just me, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but my girlfriend who live here as well is terrified of what he'll do to her or the house, when i'm not home. I've got a couple of guns in the house, 2 shotguns, a hunting rifle, and a .38, so i'm prepared if he ever became violent or tried to burn the house down or something, but my girlfriend can't hand the harrassment this guy is capable of dishing out. She's the one who says just deal with it and leave him alone.
  8. Hey guys thanks for all the responses. Here's a little more info on the situation that I didn't give in the original post: The guy's tower is illegally boosted. A guy I know who's into HAM stuff said that his tower has the capability to broadcast 100% around the world and back to himself, which is wayyy more powerful than a residential, recreational tower is allowed to be. However, other neighbors have called the FCC before on him, and all they do is show up at his house and issue a warning, and then he does nothing different. The kicker is that to lodge an official complaint, the FCC needs to register YOUR name and address as the complaining party, and tells him who complained. Now this guy is 6'8" about 280, and a felon and ex-con. We looked him up and found that he has literally dozens of arrests for Assault, Asault and Battery, Harrassment, etc. So my girlfriend that I live with (just me and her) who is terrified of him refuses to let me call the FCC and complain because she is afraid of what he is capable of doing to her, us, or the house. I would go ahead and do it if it was just me, but she has a point, because i would worry about what he would say/do to her if I wasn't around. There was a neighbor, as i said before, who called and lodged an official complaint about 2 years ago. She was a single mother who lived alone with her one kid. After the complaint, the guy got a warning, didn't do anything different with his signal, and on top of that, every time Asshole saw her outside her house he would run out on the lawn and scream at her calling her a "Fat {censored}, {censored}ing Stupid Whore, Bitch, Slut, etc." in front of her kid. She called the cops and explained that he was harrassing her everytime she left her house. The cops showed up, he denied it, they gave him a warning anyway and left. The next night a brick came through their window at 2 a.m. Cops were called again, they said there was no way to prove it was him, could have been vandal kids...etc. Plus the neighborhood is in a County Pocket, not technically incorporated to a city, so when you call the cops you get a County Sheriff, who takes about 45 min. to get here, and doesn't really give a {censored}. Since the neighborhood is unicorporated, none of the city ordinances about broadcasting strength and signals apply. So the only people who should care about it are the FCC, and you can see what happens when you call them.... they tell the guy who called them and give him a warning. Many nights i've thought about going over in the night and cutting his wires/pulling his tower down, but it would be a temporary fix, as he'd fix it within a week, and I'd be risking the law coming down on me if anyone saw me, and that {censored} just isn't worth it. Its a really {censored}ty situation. My girlfriend has lived here for over 12 years, and is so upset and frustrated about the whole thing that she wants to move. I just hate the idea of letting this Asshole bully get his way. At least if there was some way to block his tower from affecting our house, I would have to think about it/deal with it as much.
  9. So our next door neighbor has a Massive HAM radio tower in his backyard, and is on the thing all the time, especially in the evenings. When he's on it, his voice comes through the computer speakers, stereo, {censored}s up the television reception, and sometimes through guitar amps, although not that often. He uses a scrambler of some kind on his signal, so i can't even evesdrop on his conversations, so its no fun at all. Does anybody know of any kind of device I can get for my home that will stop the interference coming from this guy? I'd even be happy with something that could block or scramble his signal completely from next door, as I completely hate that asshole for many reasons. Humorous anecdote: A friend left this 80's POS Peavey SS combo at my house, and I was {censored}ing around with it, and asshole next door got on his horn. Its coming through the thing loud, and really distorted. So I set the amp up on a chair so it was level with the window facing his house, opened the window (but left the shade closed so no one could see in), and cranked the amp. So everytime he would talk, he would hear his own scrambled signal blaring back at him from next door. I left it like that and went to the store for about an hour. When I got home, he was done with his "toy" for the day and didn't get on it again. I wonder if he ever figured out what it was.....
