Members Themetallikid
so its stripped, almost completely sanded... is there anything I need to do before I put the tolex on... Should I fill the screw holes or use the ones that are there... do I need to treat the wood at all with anything prior to tolexing? how do I know that the corners(supplies in general) that I buy will fit my cab??? Yup, fill any screw holes, dents, or gouges in the wood of your cabinet then sand it out again. No, it's not necessary to "treat" or seal the wood before applying the Tolex, the glue will take care of that. As far as corners go most of the corners are for a 3/4" radius. If it is a Marshall, there are specific corners for those amps. Good luck with your project...

Members Dave Owens
why not skip the tolex and put a heavy varnish/stain on it..those look so cool..like furniture...unless you planing on beating the crap out of it on the road .. also the tend to resonate better with out the tolex.
