Members maninblk0073
I read this article; http://www.torresengineering.com/newnewbthetu.html Sez they will work in a 6L6/5881 amp. I e-mailed Eurotubes and got a reply from Jay stating that most 6L6 amps probably wouldnt be able to handle the upgrade. Just curious if anyone out there has tried this yet. Well, I don't want to say anything bad about anyone (especially not with that big $$$ court decision coming down against a libelous internet poster! ) but I think it's fair to say that my own dealings with Torres Engineering have been less than stellar. I personally wouldn't use them again but I wouldn't discourage anyone else. I guess I'll just say to perform your own "due diligence" and decide on your own. There, I shouldn't get sued over that, should I?

Members Doug's Tubes
Check to see if the power tranny in your amp will handle the extra filament current. If so, then yer good. You just need a set that will bias in that range, which would mean a set that draws too much current to be used in place of an EL34.
