However, each guitarist was running two 6505's into one cab, and the bass player was running an orange into an ampeg. Why would anyone require this kind of setup? Does it sound different? The 2 6505's were probably for backup. I run two amps into one cab, but it's a stereo cab and I run left/right with a Zinky and a homebrew 18 Watter to fill my tone out a little bit. Another way to slave amps is to run into a THD HotPlate set to "Load", and then from the line out of the hotplate into a seperate power amp, in order to keep the volume level down.
