Members piper19
what difference will be heard if you remove the back cover of a closed 212 cabinet (orange that is). I think the orange 212 is a bit dark sounding, it has a lot of bass though. But I played a Fender amp last two weeks and I really liked the clear punching notes. It seems the bass is overwhelming a bit.
Members jlb32
If you remove the back it will lose alot of bass response and become more treble oriented. That can either be good or bad. It just depends on what tone you like. Either way it's worth a shot. If you don't like it just put the back of the cab back on.
Members 62sg
Try making some rear panels for the cab.... divide the rear opening by 3, to make a panel for the top & one for the bottom..leave the middle open. Then add appox 1 3/4" height to the top panel.Like this one:' alt='>'>http://www.stoneagecustomcabinets.com/default.php
