Members necropsy
I just got a Peavey Classic 60 power amp (6L6 version), and there are no screen grid resistors. I got the schematics, and there should be two 100 ohm, 5W resistors. Should I put them in, or leave it as is?If I add the resistors, should I use metal-oxide, or cement-box types?? Thanks
Members JimAnsell
i'd put them in to be on the safe side...and use the cememt box ones.
Members tommythelurker
Why aren't they in there? Did someone take them out? Can you see where they're supposed to go? If they're missing, I'd guess someone was dicking around with the amp and wonder what else they did. I'd try to figure that out before sticking resistors back in there. The cement blocks are probably correct.

Members tommythelurker
Oh they should be in there. Maybe they didn't use the cement ones. In my 60/60 I think they're right next to their respective tubes on the board. Try following the trace from the tube socket pin 4.
