They have some awesome tone. hmm..... Just cos their hardcore bands, doesnt mean their tone is hi-gain. You can have a good metal band with a low gain tone (give up the ghost..) or a good rock band with a brutally hi-gain tone (fall out boy *flames*) But nonetheless, plexi wont do a hi-gain tone on its own, full stop.
