Members johnbarnesiii
Hello, I recently purchased the Akai MPK88 keyboard controller. Is it possible to add piano pedals that mimick the pedals on a real acoustic piano? Either 2 or 3 pedals would be fine, like a damper and a sustain. Also do they make any with a solid pole that goes up to the top, instead of just a floating cord), like in the attached photos? Maybe a hollow pole that you can put the cord into, so as to hide the cord? Thanks!
Members the_big_e
doc here http://www.akaipro.com/stuff/contentmgr/files/21/ef3470f411b44b5041638321b2f7f819/file/mpk61_mpk88___reference_manual___revb.pdf says it takes two switches, then on page 30 it tells you how to set it up to send the appropriate midi messages to whatever you are controlling. I'm no midi guru but I guess the message you would need to send would depend on what you are controlling so you'd need to go read the doc for that. Or were you talking about the physical addition of pedal only? If so, no idea. Time to get creative maybe!

Members delaware dave
Is it possible to add piano pedals that mimick the pedals on a real acoustic piano? Thanks! The Akai would have to be able to support the MIDI functionality of the pedals. Does the Akai support sostenuto or dampering?
