Members axelsam
just purchased a SANO stereophonic 50 W amp. It has one 15" speaker (gold cone) and a 8" speaker (green cone). Do you have any info on this model? It looks like an early 60's to me.

Members mc5nrg
IIRC made in New Jersey, possibly by folks that previously worked for Ampeg.Sano amps were popular with accordion players and are usually pretty clean and voiced for keyboards...like yours with a woofer and tweeter, sort of.Don't know a lot about that model in particular. Try searching the Yahoo Magnatone-Valco users group even though Sano is neither it gets mentioned, and the Google alt.guitar.amps group

Members mc5nrg
Did you find this site yet? www.larryjohnmcnally.com has an in depth Sano section on this site. The link is in a box on his bio page bottom right. There is a photo of an amp with a Titano nameplate also which may explain the Magnatone connection as Estey Titanos are Magnatones.
