Members Noak
I just fooled around a bit, recording some demo stuff for a blues rock kind of record that I might record some day, and I think I finally have found that strat tone I've been looking for! Really clear, but also punchy and nasty lead tone. Anyone else who found "their" strat tone? And what gear is that? Have a listen to this clip of one of the solos (the guitar track was recorded live and I thought this solo sounded best) and tell me what you think! Try to guess what guitar I'm playing, that might be interesting. The amp i my Rivera Knucklehead (like the one in my avatar) through my Marshall 1960AV with Vintage 30's. Oh, the song is called "Bluesy tuesday" at my soundclick page: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=673453 Any comments are welcome! Members larryguitar
Very nice-powerful without being too dirty, good sustain and cuts well through the mix without grating in any way.Now go do the perfect 'punchy clean'!Larry
Members gibson5413
I like it quite a bit.
Members JBecker
Doesn't really sound like a strat to me though I like the tone. Could be an LP with coil tap or similar type guitar.
Members Noak
Well, it's not the most ordinary strat tone, it's a bit more powerful. The guitar has "twin blade" pickups (like fast track/hot rails). The guitar is a Godin Artisan ST, got it at a very affordable price used.
