Members em07189
What a hell is MIA, So in the headstock it has to be written "USA Standard model"? Can this serial number be the highway one model? Thanks.
Members telephant
http://www.fender.com/support/dating/fender_us_dating.php Scroll down a bit. Basically after the 80's, the serial numbers started using the first letter as the decade. Meaning, if the first letter is "E" that means "eight," and the number right after that being the particular year in the decade. So if your serial number started with "E8" your strat would be from 1988. "N" is for the 90's, "Z" is for the 00's.

If it's MIA, it says "Made in the USA" somewhereCould be in front, could be in the back.I think HWY 1's have it written on the back of the headstock. MIA stands for Made in America. MIJ is Made in Japan, MIM is Made in mexico. If I had to guess, Id say that serial number does look like a MIA strat. Members telephant
Can this serial number be the highway one model? NO way. That strat is from '95 and the Highway One didnt come out until a few years ago. The strat you're asking about is probably a nicer guitar than the HWY 1.
