Members Artmuzz
The problem is not so much finding one, the problem is finding one that still looks good. Trent & friends must've smashed dozens of 'm - absolutely horrible when you think of it. I wish there were cheap silver plastic MIDI controllers back then so the DXes would've survived. I've always wondered why it was only the Yamaha DX7 of all the synths that Trent Reznor smashed up. Was it because he hated them and wanted to make a point by smashing them up? or was it because he didn't know how to program them?
Members sentinel3
Lazy people with no patience will hate on the DX7. Theres nothing to programmimng them or editting patches when you understand how the Algorithm, 0scillator, EGs and-output buttons work. It took me about two days to fully grasp FM. It has the greatest sonic range of any synthesis. Anyone Ive ever shown the DX7 to has always said arent they impossible to program? Only if you are lazy and spoilt with a cant be bothered attitude.
