Members Pete
How different does the 101b sound compared to the Legacy? I have a Legacy and absolutely love the amp. I never tried the 101b, but some clips on the internet are killer. Is the 101b worth the price difference between these two? The clips I've heard of the 101b sounds like it has more sizzle or gain compared to the Legacy.....just wondering if anyone has tried both and can explain how they sound different. Members Pete
I've always hated pedals and never got a decent sound out of it....kinda thickens up the tone too much on the legacy.
Members starsnuffer
The legacy has more of the blue channel tone of the XTC, and doesn't do the high compression/gainer red channel tones as well. The XTC will get a far wider range of tones. If you want a one trick pony with decent clean, stick to the legacy. I've used a legacy as a backup as the XTC, if I didn't already own the bogner, I'd buy it. Money is worth different things to different people though. What's worth it to me might not be worth it to you. -W
