Members Me163
What is the difference? In most cases they seem to do almost the same thing
Members Pr3Va1L
Depends on the amp... Usually, presence is in the very high frequencies and is usually made in changing something in the power amp. I have seen the presence frequency being in the upper mids... To stand out in the mix, I guess.
Members Leftovercrack
i think the presence comes later in the circuit, after some of the amplification has happened, also presense on my amp seems to tune in the very high end, and not just upper mids and treble
Members TheAmazingBlob
Treble is the preamp, presence is the poweramp. Most of the amps I've had, presence is more of a fizz control than anything else.
Members Keebz
I have a presence feature on my MP-1 preamp. On this one, it seems like it
Members Tommy Horrible
On the Marshall TSL 100 the presence is the upper mid control. More presence, more crunch. The treble control the the brightness/clarity.
