Members diavolo1
i don't know the reason everyone hates on the marshalls with 75's. its still my favorite combo after years of different cabs. i use an old jcm800 cab with 75's, and it kills for high gain. our local studio has an old marshall jubilee cab with v30's, and a mesa cab with v30's, and when we recorded there, everyone in the room picked my 800 cab over the v30 loaded cabs, when we a/b'd them. i'm not saying they're the be-all,end-all, of cabs, but to claim that they're the tone sucking pariahs of the cab world.....c'mon. Members TheAbomb12
what head were you using (that makes a difference)? Also, what style are you playing? 75s sound fine with any head if your going for a death metal/aggressive scooped sound. Otherwise, 75s mostly sound really good with marshalls or amps with lots of mid range. For the most part 6L6 amps sound better with V30s-- or at the very least, would be much more versatile than the 75s.

Members bankboy
My MKII loves my Bogner 2x12 with V30's, and my 4x12 with Eminence Man O' Wars and Warehouse CL80 clones in an X-pattern.
