Members Zachman
?? A friend of mine had that in his '77 Gibson Les Paul, and it sounded fantastic. It sounded like a PAF pickup, with a bit of extra oomph, without giving up the clarity, and sweetness.
Members illini
I just put one in my 76 Standard to replace the Duncan 59. I concur on the "bit of extra oomph" assessment. Very similar to the 59, with a sweeter mid, and top end that is less shrill. I was actually surprised at how nice this pickup is. The clips on the Duncan site do a very good job of representing the difference between the Seth Lover, JB, and 59. I am surprised that more people don't use this pickup in the bridge. I suppose that is due to the fact that they feed back easier than other pickups at high gain.
