Herbert vs. Cobra

Mine should be here this week! YAY!

I'm 50/50 on ordering one of these right after xmas....I'd love to hear your comparison with the Dorado I loved my PCB Dorado w/Depth.

I've got my Herbert to cut very well live...it did take some fiddling. I also boost channel 2 with an OD-9 for rhythms, but I've preferred that will all my amps so far.

Haven't tried a Cobra but the recordings i've heard haven't appealed to me that much.

but i must say the herbert is one of my favorite amps of all time

BTW, I've owned both and A/b'd them a couple times.
The cobra's still here Herbert is not.. I wouldnt say its because it was better than the Herb at high gain but more of a unique sound that I HAD TO HAVE! No other amp sounds quite like it. My VH-4 sounds similar to the Herbert to me.
Herb has a smoother overall tone but it's mids were as present and aggressive..
Honestly when I a/b'd them loud the Herbert sounded buried and scooped..

Interesting, thats why the cobra kicks so much ass, raunchy mids that bite.
