Members no fate
Hello all, I have a question that maybe somebody here can answer for me. I play through a Fender Cyber Twin SE amp currently. In the effects loop a have a Danelectro Fish and Chips EQ pedal running to get the tone that I prefer. My question is this: The effects loop is switchable between -6 db for pedals and +14 db for rack effects. I have been running the pedal in the +14 setting and didn't realize it. When I switched to loop to the "correct" -6 setting, my tone got muddy and slightly distorted and pretty much sucked. Is it safe to just run the pedal in the +14 db setting? Will doing so damage the amp? I prefer the tone this way, but I also don't wan't to hurt the amp. I would like to also note that I prefer the EQ in the effects loop as opposed to in front of the amp, it sounds better to me that way. Any help would be much appreciated. Members metalfanat1c
You won't hurt the amp... though you might hurt the pedal with a signal that much above line level... but I doubt it. Those Dano EQ pedals are TOUGH.
Members no fate
Hey, thanks for the info. Heck, for $30 the pedal can be replaced in the future if need be.

The amp in that mode is designed to run at that level. Unless you're putting a drastic volume boost on the pedal, you're not gonna have any problems whatsoever.
