Members weemies
I'm about to get either one or two Vintage 30 speakers for my 1936 cab. The cab works 8 ohm mono/16 ohm stereo. Does this mean the speaker(s) I get have to be the 16 ohm version? Currently I have the stock G12T-75 speakers in there.
Members ShortScaleMike
Yes. The speakers are in parallel in Mono mode.
Members Michael Patrick
If you want the same impedances you currently have, yes you have to get two 16 ohm speakers.
Members blackba1
Yes each speaker is 16ohms, that is why it is 16ohms stereo per side. the combination of the 2 16ohm speaker in parallel is 8ohms, which is my its listed as 8ohms mono.
