Assaulted those lyrics like a swatter to a fly you did - all red-faced and sneering. Or, is your opinion embedded somehow? Golly, let me think... Give him time BlinkLine, give him time. Those lyrics hold some truth within them? I remember Neil Young prefacing a song telling his audience: "Here's a song guaranteed to bring you right down...it's called, Don't Let It Bring You Down". It was a song that I actually liked. As with any lyrics, the instrumental gives invaluable support. If I could hear the recording I'd have a more qualified answer for you.
