Bye bye, love.

Written by Felice and Boudleaux Bryant. I know Simon & Garfunkel performed this song as well as Ray Charles in his early career.

Here is an excerpt:

CHORUS

Bye bye love

Bye bye happiness

Hello loneliness

I think I'm gonna cry

Bye bye love

Bye bye sweet caress

Hello emptiness

I feel like I could die

Bye bye my love, goodbye

I just want to know who performed this song first or who it was written for.

Thanks!

Not maybe the Everly Brothers..............it is the Everly Brothers.

I know I've got to stop looking at internet forums now.........I've got to be way older than most of you..................I'm sure in a few years I'm going to be saying..."No, a group called Led Zepplin originally recorded "Stairway to Heaven".

No offense to the to the original poster........it just hit me the wrong way.

This song is a classic.

Well, I'm 35. My dad had all kinds of music from the 50's. I knew the answer. But you can't assume that people know these things.

Yes it is a classic.
