Members bikehorn Posted March 15, 2008 Members Share Posted March 15, 2008 Okay I'm not in a position to buy an amp in this price range, but I have a friend with, uh, a lot of disposable income and for a change he wants to spend it on something better than nitrous for his car. He is a pretty damn good player actually, or he was when I last saw him actually play a guitar which was a few years ago. I want to steer him away from super ultra high gain brootalz kind of stuff since I think it would make his playing sound like garbage, and he wants a combo, so for some reason of the many combos I know this one came to my mind, except I've never played one. So who's got one of these and what does it sound like? My friend plays Van Halen licks convincingly and likes sounds in that vein but also specifically said he wanted sparkle. Me being all about the 'sparkle' type guitar sounds I knew exactly what he meant. I thought Matchless or Bad Cat too. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
