Members Wayrockin1
A Horse With No Name has only two chords. Questionable how good it is, but its still getting airplay.
Members mikejmeehan
Gene Eugene/Adam Again's 'Strobe'. I quote from the CD sleeve: 'This song has only one chord.' Indisputable evidence. It's kind of a funk number.
Members ChordGirl
Jane Says has two chords. I also know a girl who only writes one chord songs as part of her 'I know nothing' act. They're actually pretty good songs, and she plays(mostly sings) in a local duet that's good.
Members arellspencer
A song or two of mine has two chords. they sound full and airy to me. But more chords are implied so it seems as if the song is doing more.GOODBY JOE by hank senoir has two chords.

Members CGord
"Comfortable Liar" by Chevelle The music is set to cheesey DBZ clips (Should've used FLCL or NGE or something) but it's a decent quality sound recording. I've always liked this song, & when I realized that it was two chords start to finish, it really impressed me. It's a pretty cool trick if you can pull it off. Does anyone know of any examples whre this has been done? or even just two chords??sounds like a serious challenge...Rx One Chord Song: Tomorrow Never Knows, Beatles. Couldn't thin of any others. Members LondonSi
One of my favourites...it's even called 'One Note' which I think makes it a more suitable contender than the others ;-)

Members houdini116
I was just thinking the same about some of Dan Auerbach's stuff, not complex at all like 2 chords for the main riff, but the feeling is there. And Junior Kimbrough's "Release me" is one of my favorites too.
Members Axegrinder009
Mancini's "Peter Gunn Theme" is only one chord; of course, it's an instrumental number, but that and all of the above examples show that it's certainly possible. Members nickfromdtown
contact by as cities burnluca by brand newmaybe maybe by nico staijesus by brand new they might not have one chord but they dont change chords all the timeive noticed that i only change chords when i need to. a lot of my friends write chord progressions. i used to do that until i realized that i personally sound much better when i just write the song and let the sound decide when i should change chords
