Members Raskolnikovs axe
I got a brand new AC30 a few months ago via mail from New York (I live in Florida) and when it arrived the reverb didn't work. I contacted the seller who said to just take it into a local Vox dealer and they'd fix me up, since this should be covered under warranty. Nowhere I talked to would, they all said I had to deal with the original seller. I tried to but they wouldn't return my calls. To make matters worse, even if I wanted to pay to fix it, I can't, because there are no reputable amp techs in my city. I'm doing my best to diagnose the problem myself but it's eluding me. I checked the connection to the reverb tank at both ends, and even took the tank out and took the case off to make sure all the solder joints were connected (looks like they are.) When I turn the reverb tone all the way up and mix all the way up, I get a slight hi-end increase in the background noise of the amp - but no reverb. Any advice for me? What can I do?
