Members luke978
I finally got an RG100ES: I'm running it into an old Randall 2X12 loaded with WGS V30's I wired in stereo and volume boosting it with a modded Arion Tubulator. I've got some wood laying around, so I'll probably re-house it when I take it apart and clean it up. Slime green Tolex, white knobs, and white handles. I'm keeping the volume down on the amp because the speakers are only 60W each. I'm building a 2X12 cabinet for it, and I have plans to make a stereo 6X12 as well. I like it better than the VH140C I had. It doesn't have as much gain but seems to have a bit more clairity that the Ampeg when boosted. I find the cleans to be just as good. To me, the randall is a little warmer overall. Its {censored}ing awesome...and {censored}ing loud. I turned it to 3.5 and had pictures rattling in the house. Very percussive and tight boosted. I'm shocked at how good it sounds for a SS. Anyone know what speakers are a good match for this amp? The V30's sound good, but I want something that can handle more wattage. Members metalfanat1c
I find it likes Texas Heats and Wizards. V30s always icepick with the Randalls. I've never tried any other Celestions with it, or the WGS, although I have a pair in my Stereo Chorus.
