Members guitarbilly74
Sold my combo today. Great amp but it didn't work for me. I'm still in the market for a 2x12 combo that has a marshall-type overdrive and nice clean tone and reverb. Preferably a closed back so it still has a big low-end thump. Budget is about $1000, new or used.. any recommendations??

Members Smachimo the T
a.........................hm.. what about a marshall dsl combo?
Members guitarbilly74
I have a DSL head already.. I don't think the combos sound as good as the heads. I've been thinking of just buying a 2x12 and using the DSL head, but I would really like to downsize to a combo once and for all.

I find that my 2x12+head is easier to bring around then my 2x12 combos, honestly. well, what about THESE amps: hughes and kettner tube 20 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Hughes-Kettner-Edition-Tube-20th-Anniversary-Model-Combo-Amp?sku=480426 or a laney vc30 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Laney-VC30112-30W-1x12-Tube-Guitar-Combo-Amp?sku=481339 not 2x12's but can get the marshall crunch.
