Members rydia is hot Posted August 27, 2008 Members Share Posted August 27, 2008 i love my bad cat hot cat 30. i recently opened it up, and i've gotta say, compared to the other amps that i've peeked inside (orange rockerverb - that thing was a huge disappointment - 5150, jcm2000, and a few others), this is a thing of beauty. hell, compared to nothing else, it's a thing of beauty. unfortunately, i didn't have my camera handy, so i don't have any porn to post. what other amps are built this well or better? i'm assuming that matchless amps are since sampson had a hand in those as well. i've also heard great things about mako amps... But whoever said most amps are just what they are, that's the truth. Sometimes there isn't even any effective strain relief, or the PCB is only really secured on one side of the chassis; accidents waiting to happen, but you gotta treat your gear well in any case.
