Is the Peavey Valveking right for me?

My gear:

 

BOSS GT-8 or GT-10

Schecter C-1 Classic

My current amp is a Marshall JCM900 (blech...)

 

What I am looking for:

 

1) Clarity

2) Low end

3) Crunch

4) Versatility

5) Full tube head

6) 4x12 stack

 

My budget:

$1000~

 

Is the Peavey Valveking what I am looking for? Or is there a better combo out there (different head and difference cab combo)? Enlighten me!!!

i am curious if there is some type of combo i should be researching? not "combo" as in "combo amp 2x12" but a combo of the valveking head with a better cab?

but to answer your question, for a grand Id go with a marshall cab you can usually get for 400 bucks or so, and a 5150 for about 600 bucks. Badass budget rig right there

Get an used 5150 212 combo and call it a day.. very nice amp and easily one the the best high gain combos in its price range ($500-600 for the used one).

 

Also try to find an used Peavey Ultra 2x12.
