Members Vespertine
So I just got hold of an old bass cab (1-15'' & 2-8" ) , and I was thinking of hooking it up with a small 15watt tube amp. Now here's my confusion.... the cab is supposed to handle 600watts and it is rated at 4 ohms, but my tube amp is rated at 8 ohms? I do know that you can hook up a 4ohms head into a 8 ohm cab without any problems, but how about a 8 ohms amp into a 4 ohms cab? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Members Vespertine
^^ True.. only that its owners manual is completely useless, though. It's only a list of specs
Members tommythelurker
Not a very good question. CAN you drive a car of a cliff. Sure. Would you want to? Probably not.

There's no such thing as "wrong way around" with tube amps. Either way has drawbacks.
