Members burton4snow
I am making a longer speaker cable for my fender pro junior and I am just going to modify a speaker cable and put the clamps on the end to fit onto the speaker recepticles ( sorry don't know technical terms) Since there are two I am not sure which wire goes where. It is plus and minus on the Speaker and on the Speaker cable it ist black and white. I think black would be negative but I am not sure and could use some help thanks! Members GCDEF
In the grand scheme of things with one speaker it doesn't make any difference.
Members mamberg
and a speaker cable would not make a difference which wire was which. it IS a speaker cable not an instrument cable, right?
Members dxjxrose
speakers still have polarity if u hook the wires up backwards the speaker will pull in instead of push. now if ur making a speaker cable u can do what ever ud like as long as its the same on both ends. Since it pushes and pulls hundreds or thousands of times a second, I seriously doubt you'd notice the difference. It only becomes important when there's more than one speaker and they have to be in phase.
