I disagree. Sometime that's the best type of tone for the tune.


I think in this one it would take some of the focal point from your lead. Sounds bigger and more authoritative this way as well. Again well done. One of the best clips I've heard here in a while.

I can't wait to start mic'ing so I can get a tighter tone.

Lead tone is awesome and synth sounds pretty good. I think you should raise the volume of the drums and especially the rhythm guitars though. Leave the cymbals where they're at, but give the rhythm guitars and kick/snare/toms a little more volume to make the mix sound more punchy..
