Members t-rey Posted January 10, 2009 Members Share Posted January 10, 2009 i ordered the blackstar ht-5 head this morning, but not a cab. i wanted to get some input first on them if anyone had any experience with how the 1x10's sounded. the other option would be a 1x12 avatar cab. i am also wondering what kind of speaker would work well with this head/cab. i was thinking getting a greenback if i went the avatar route. the only thing is that the avatar is about twice the cost of the blackstar cab, and since i have no experience with different cabs and speakers and whatnot (only had a fender ss amp before now ) i dont know if the avatar cab with the better speaker would be "twice as good." as always any help with my noobish problems is greatly appreciated.
