Members ttiw
The search isn't really working for me, so sorry if this question geats beat to death around here. I understand how to install the trim pot and all that on the circuit board, but I'm wondering how I can check the bias with my voltmeter. I had external bias testing points on my Cobra, which was easy... but if anyone could clarify that for me that would rule.
Members Casey4s
You can easily install test points in this amp OR order a Bias Rite test probe from Ted Weber. https://taweber.powweb.com/biasrite/br_page.htm If you go with the test points make sure you provide a test point for your plate voltage as well as a convienient GROUND test point. Members KsE fan
for a 5150 will the tubes even fit inside the amp anymore? like if you have the bias rite adapters where the tubes go, and the tubes plugged into them i think the 5150 headbox isn't big enough anyone know if they still do? i bumped a dead thread, o noes! Members rockitsauce
you can take the heat vent off the top. then they will fit. Holy carp! I never thought of that and had been taking the chassis out each time. Well, I need to do that anyway to adjust the trim pot.
