Members Casey4s Posted May 13, 2009 Members Share Posted May 13, 2009 It changes the impedence of the out put section. You might also need to change the OT. It would be easier going from a 6L6 to a 6V6 because it wouldn't produce more power than the OT was designed for. The 6V6 is a 14 watt tube and the 6L6 is rated at 30 watts.
