Members Rich
Inquiring minds want to know.My fender twin's gain sounds like a thundering herd of Visigoths marshing accross Europe on their way to burn Rome to the ground.

Members mpdan
It's the "Twin on 10" tone. Transparent highs, open mids and plump lows. Definitely a lot of organic tone in there. That's why Twins are so heavy, you know. Oh, and tone in the form as it sits in the amp is black, which is why the old 'black face' amps are black on the control panel. They have a lot of tone by their design, which is why it's so organic. The tone oozes out of the chassis and spills on the panel. Black == tone. Members mpdan
oozes out like tar? all thick n gooey? that sounds real heavy mang Actually it's more like molasses. That's what makes the Blackface Twin sound so organic and sweet.
Members 17 Tubes
ha...you guys are so funny. I see some people have never unleashed a Twin. Yet so mocking.... Really...it would be funny to see how many people actually have even PLAYED a good Twin...let alone hooked it hard like you do your other amps.
