Members Guiary
I'm just wanting to know as many brands as possible that relabeled the Mullard 12AX7 with the glassed etched code I63. I know Fisher was one, but I'm looking for others and as many as possible. Basically I'm looking for the Mullard IEC. Thanks! Gary
Members mmorse
Mullard sold to all kinds of companies that re-branded them. Even other tube companies. A Mullard could have just about anything printed on it. I have Mullards that say Hammond, Eico, IEC, Heath, and many where the printing has worn off. Look for the edged code and don't worry whats printed on it.
Members Guiary
Excellent, that's what I figured but I just wanted to be sure. Trying to read those little tiny etched codes off of any ebay auction picture is sometimes next to impossible.
Members mmorse
Educate yourself on the old Mullards and ask the seller what the etched code says. Also, look at the internals, plates. getters etc. If ANYTHING just doesn't smell right for you, pass on it.
