Members Adeamus
Alright So I'm working on some demos for my band to use to submit to labels and I just wanted some advice on the mixes and the guitar tones. http://www.soundclick.com/screamingmechanicalbrain So any input on things that sound weird would be appreciated. Since we're all nerds here the guitars are a PODxt Pro DI into my computer and the guitar is a PRS Custom 24 w/ Bareknuckle Nailbombs. So, any good words? Members MacBradley
Mixes sound pretty good to me. Vocals could be turned down a little bit on the first one, then carve some eq where you want them prominent out of the guitars, cymbals, and snare. Really though, the label is more concerned with what you're band sounds like, not how well you can mix. As long as the recording is good enough to be able to tell your abilities (which it is) then it is good enough. Second song's synth parts are awesome btw. Members B Money
sounds pretty good, but those are some fuzzy guitar tones. Synth is a little too hot in the second song. I'm diggin your music. I hear a lot of Faith No More and SOAD influence. I agree with the comments above, your mixes are fine for demoing. I wouldn't worry about it
